Home massage on the French Riviera: how a session unfolds

Receiving a massage at home means treating yourself to the luxury of organising nothing. No journey, no parking, no drive home just as the body has finally let go. The treatment comes to you, and you stay in your bubble right to the end. For several years, I have been travelling all over the French Riviera, from Théoule-sur-Mer to Monaco and around Grasse, to villas, apartments, hotels and yachts. Here is, in practice, how a session works.

Before the session: preparing without fuss

It all starts with a conversation, by phone or by message. I ask for your address, the length you would like (60, 90 or 120 minutes) and a few words about how you are feeling: fatigue, back tension, a need to let go, or simply the wish for a moment to yourself. The price depends on your town, as it includes travel.

On your side, there is almost nothing to plan. A space of about two metres by three is enough to set up the table and move around it. A quiet room that can be closed, and a pleasant temperature: the body cools down during a massage, so a room slightly warmer than usual is best. Remember to silence your phone. I take care of the rest.

Setting up: your space becomes a treatment room

When I arrive, I set up all the equipment in about fifteen minutes:

  • a professional massage table, with the same comfort as at the studio;
  • linen: sheets and towels provided;
  • organic plant oils, such as coconut or hemp;
  • background music and the treatment accessories.

This setting-up time is also a time of transition. While I prepare the space, we talk about your needs today. This is often when the essentials are said: a shoulder that has been pulling for weeks, a busy period, a night that was too short. These few minutes let me adjust the treatment before I even lay my hands on you.

The treatment: a massage built by listening to your body

At home, I offer only tailor-made massages. There is no fixed protocol repeated identically for everyone. Each session is built by listening to your tension, your emotional state and your energy on the day.

In practice, the rhythm, the pressure and the areas worked on evolve throughout the session. A back tense from hours at the computer does not call for the same touch as a body exhausted by travel. Like all my massages, these treatments combine touch and an energy-based approach: the relaxation is physical, but also mental.

You can talk or stay silent, and say if the pressure is too firm or too light. A good massage is a dialogue, even when it happens without words.

After the massage: taking your time

This is one of the great advantages of home treatments: no one is waiting for you outside. After the treatment, I leave you a quiet moment while I discreetly pack away the equipment. You can stay lying down, drink a large glass of water, and let yourself drift off to sleep if it is evening.

When I leave, your living room, hotel room or cabin is back to normal. All that remains is the feeling of the treatment.

At a hotel, in a villa or on a yacht

Every place has its own particularities, and I adapt to them.

  • At a hotel, the room or suite becomes a treatment space. It is a popular option with visitors passing through Cannes, Antibes or Monaco, especially during festivals and trade shows, when schedules are tight.
  • In a villa, we can choose the quietest room, sometimes a sheltered terrace when the season allows.
  • On a yacht, I work in Cannes, Antibes, Mandelieu, Théoule-sur-Mer and Monaco. Space is more limited, and organisation is arranged in advance with the crew if needed.

In every case, the standard remains the same: a professional, discreet setting that respects your privacy.

The questions I am asked most often

Do I need to provide anything? No. I bring the table, linen, oils and music.

Can I book for two people? Yes, the sessions follow one after the other. Just mention it when booking.

Do you offer energy treatments at home? No. Energy treatments and rituals take place only at the Centre Ananda in Cannes, where the setting lends itself to them.

My town is not on your list. Contact me: I consider every travel request.

The treatment comes to you

A home massage is not a discount massage, nor a makeshift one. It is the same treatment as at the studio, with the same equipment and the same attention, in a place you already know. And perhaps that is what makes it so precious: we let go more easily at home.
