Suspending. But not escaping.“A parenthesis does not suspend time. It gives it back its meaning.”Sensory, because you are a living body.A name, a living intentionAnd you, when did you last take a moment of pause? When a name becomes an intention.
When a few chosen words become a way of caring.
The Sensory Parenthesisis not just the name of a space or a treatment. It is an invitation. An offer made to those who feel the need to settle, to slow down, to come back to themselves.
Suspending. But not escaping.
In our world saturated with stimulation, notifications and expectations, we sometimes need to step out of the flow, to create a pause.
But not to escape.
Rather to catch our breath, recentre, find a kind of inner coherence.
That is where the notion of a parenthesis comes in: not a temporary escape with no tomorrow, but a chosen time, conscious, to give a different rhythm to your body and mind.
“A parenthesis does not suspend time. It gives it back its meaning.”
I chose this mantra to accompany my practice.
Because what I seek to offer is not simply an hour of relaxation, one treatment among others.
It is a quality space, an experience, a full and complete attention to what you are living in the moment.
Each treatment then becomes a sensitive pause in which you can set yourself down, breathe, feel… and perhaps hear something essential within you.
Sensory, because you are a living body.
The word sensory evokes touch, of course. But also listening, rhythm, scent, warmth, music, silence.
Receiving a treatment is not just “being massaged”: it means opening up to your perceptions, reconnecting with your feelings, becoming once again a being sensitive to the world and to yourself.
In every massage I offer, I take care to create an atmosphere that encourages this reconnection: soft light, chosen oils, enveloping sounds, the right movements.
Because it is in the detail that we sometimes touch the essential.
A name, a living intention
The Sensory Parenthesis was born from my own search for alignment, slowness and depth.
It reflects what I wish to embody in my treatments:
a true presence,
a subtle listening,
a safe setting,
and a respectful, inspired touch.
It is a place as much as a state of being. A moment as much as a path.
And you, when did you last take a moment of pause?
If you feel the need to breathe, to recentre or simply to be touched with kindness, I welcome you at the Centre Ananda, in a cosy, soothing space.
Each treatment is preceded by a conversation over a cup of tea, to get to know each other and co-create the experience you need.
